Exemption Compliance Note to Clients

Baartman & Du Plessis Attorneys and Mr. Johan Pietersen jointly launched an application for exemption on behalf of more than 120 security businesses and have now received feedback from the National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector. This note is intended to assist you in the interpretation of the feedback and to enable you to address the NBCPSS inquiries to ensure that you receive the benefit of the exemption application.

You would have received an email from us that contained a status code.

What does status-code mean?

Compliant 

You are compliant and your exemption is subsequently finalised. No further action is required by you.

RNP

You are properly registered with the National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector but have not been making payments. You are requested to contact the NBCPSS to discuss your payment history with the NBCPSS. You may also address an email to Grace Raselimo and furnish her with your proof of payment. We request that you do so under cover of our email that was transmitted to you as your “Applicant Number” appears in our e-mail which will serve as a reference for her.

NRP

You are not registered by the NBCPSS are receiving payments. You are requested to contact the NBCPSS to discuss your registration status with the NBCPSS. You may also address an email to Me Grace Raselimo and furnish her with your proof of registration. If your registration is pending you should provide her with copies of your application for registration. We request that you do so under cover of our e-mail that was transmitted to you as your “Applicant Number” appears in our email which will serve as a reference for her.

NRNP

You are not registered with the NBCPSS and you have not been making payments. You are requested to contact the NBCPSS to discuss your registration and payment status with the NBCPSS. You may also address an email to Me Grace Raselimo and furnish her with your proof of registration and payments. If your registration is pending you should provide her with copies of your application for registration. We request that you do so under cover of our e-mail that was transmitted to you as your “Applicant Number” appears in our email which will serve as a reference for her.

General

Kindly ensure that your registration number with the bargaining council, as reflected in our email is correct. The number will start with “LV”. Should your registration number not be correct you are requested to address an email to Me Grace Raselimo and furnish her with your proof of registration containing the correct registration number. If your registration is pending you should provide her with copies of your application for registration

IMPORTANT

Take notice that you don’t need to transmit the documentation to our offices or copy us in on any mails to Me Grace Raselimo.
